used them for a 22.000km trip this summer, good product but way to heavy.... should be Alu not steel. Second will be nice to have some rubber layers to avoid noise, thats why they are strapped at foto, Third, the can-lockers can not be adjusted when can holder is empty, there is a risk to touch he window of passenger door when open or close
This Gerry can holder is a great idea! A quality holder that is well engineered and provides a simple solution for carrying extra fuel or water cans. Frees up valuable space from inside the vehicle cargo compartment where room is a premium. You just have to make sure your spare tire carrier is stout enough to handle the additional weight. I had been waiting for a long time to find this simple, economical way to carry an extra Gerry can!

I mounted the two brackets on the side of my new def. Fast delivery to France
The canister mount works great attached to the rear wheel tire on the back of the FJ this is much better way to mount the Jerry can to the vehicle if you don’t want to get a bumper that allows it. I also ran a cable through the wheel And the mount and gas can to secure it. I would recommend not putting fuel in the can until you are ready to go on the trails and possibly use it. When you get done with the trail I would not leave gas in the can either because it would be too heavy and could cause the rear door to sag so I don’t put gas in to the can until I I’m going on the trail and when I get back from the trail I put that gas into the vehicle.
