This quick-release awning mount is great quality. I wanted an awning mount that would add minimal height to the top of the roof rack, as height clearance is essential in order for my SUV to fit into parking garages and low clearance buildings.

Size L Type A works perfectly with an Eezi Awn Swift freestanding awning. The top of the mount adds less than an inch of height to the top of the roof rack.

I see people complaining about mounting hardware not being included, but my order came with T-slot bolts and flanged nuts, however mounting hardware is totally dependent on your roof rack and awning. I used M8 bolts purchased from the local hardware, and it was a straightforward install.

There are three screws that hold the locking clamp to the part of the mount that fastens to the awning. Those screws interfere with a rib on the part that mounts to the roof rack, preventing the slots of the these two pieces from locking together. Perhaps they were sent to me with the screws installed backwards. I had to turn the middle one of these screws around to get the mount to work. Overall I am not impressed with this mount, as my 270 deg awning is awkward and heavy (32 kg) and lining it up by myself is not so easy. I think it would have been easier to just remove and install the awning with the standard mounts and bolts. I need to get used to installing and removing this awning on these mounts myself. The lack of instructions is not cool. I eventually figured things out by looking at the diagrams on this site. The large slot goes to the bottom side of the part that attaches to the awning. The lever goes over the angled tab. It states that the unit comes with a "lock", but I did not receive one with what I received.

Bison gear products arrive quickly and well protected but you pay the price. Well crafted but no instructions and no fasteners. I have no clue what to purchase for the fasteners.

Sweet brackets for quick release of my OVS 270 awning.

Bought it to attach my OVS 180 degree awning to my Uptop Overland Bravo rack. Bolts originally didn't fit my rack bars so had to go out and buy some hardware to attach it. Once attached, it's very secure. No instructions came with my product so it took me awhile to understanding why the latching mechanism was so loose. FYI, you have to screw in or out the latch in order for it to fit your needs. Overall, would buy again but would much prefer to have more hardware and instructions
